I started my career as a potter, back before I had kids and had to ‘settle’ for an office job. I mean, I threw for other people, but ran my own business on the side. Honestly, though, by the time kids came along, I had kind of had it with selfish gallery owners who didn’t want to pay for my work, and putting a show together was a ton of work (since I was doing it all myself). I don’t regret my career change, but I’m getting back to throwing a little as I have time. I also sketch, and really love doing illustrative posters for protests.
Anyways, while I’m no longer actively pursuing the artist/crafter career path, I kind of feel like my creativity expresses itself in many aspects of my life. I take on new challenges as when I feel led to… I love teaching myself new recipes, I do home and carpentry projects, and I’ve started writing a bit…
So, that’s me. (I mean, one side of me anyways. I’ve got a lot going on)
