Accomplished Portrait Artist I am an accomplished portrait painter. I have been painting portraits in oil and acrylic paint since I was 15 years old...so that means I have been a portrait painter for a little over 45 years. I gravitate toward the Old Masters style of painting. I am an Impressionist type painter too. Most of my paintings are rendered in the studio, so that also shows that I am an Altair portrait painter.

I have painted not only people but animal portraits as well. I have done portraits of people's pets from canine to feline to equine and even just plan wild animals that my patrons adopted as pets, e.g., wolves, deer and bears.

I love combining my experiential knowledge with my more esoteric knowledge to create a unique and illuminating portrait. I guess one could argue, that I capture more than just an image or likeness of a person, I capture on canvas a piece of their soul.

I also combine my knowledge of sculpturing with painting. I like rendering a very solid three-dimensional image that emerges from a mystical background.
